  • Arrive at the office at least 15 min before your scheduled time
  • Scrubs will be worn when you get to the office and off before you leave, and they must be clean and ironed before going in the office.
  • Capri scrub pants is allowed within reason.
  • Uniforms will be freshly washed and unwrinkled.
  • Lab coats (thigh length) is permitted over scrubs.
  • Please ensure that uniforms must be fit you adequately to allow for all movements necessary throughout the day without exposure of unnecessary skin or cleavage.
  • Clean presentable runners must be worn no open shoes please, unless you've spoken to us.
  • Please be considerate with your scents when going to a clinic as some clinics will be scent free.
  • If you are a female professional who decides to have artificial nails please ensure they are short so it won’t interfere with the work.
  • Hair must always be up.
  • Employees must try to minimise any visible tattoos or body piercing. (Ear Piercing/ Nose Piercing are fine, all others are within discretion please speak to the Manager of Sense Dental).
  • If you are a smoker please try to minimize to lunch time. Please make sure you don't smell of smoke afterwards.
  • Never disclose your address or email, or numbers, or Facebook or twitter accounts with the office or the staff within the office.
  • If you are temping in an office and the office offers you a job please note the office MUST talk with Sense first.
  • Never do jobs or procedures beyond your scope of practice.
  • Chewing gum is unacceptable in the clinical area.
  • All employment and personal references will be verified.
  • The lunch break does not count towards the hours worked.
  • Wage increase will be considered for peak performing team members.
  • Front desk employees must dress appropriately for that position. (No jeans, t-shirts, shorts, etc.)
  • Personal calls are allowable during lunch hour. Cell phone should be on silent during work hours.
  • Conversations in the office should be limited to free time, break, lunch time and done quietly.
  • Profanity will not be accepted within the work place.
  • Sexual harassment will not be accepted nor tolerated.
  • Alcoholic beverages may not be consumed during work hours or the day before. If alcohol is suspected dismissal from the office will occur and possibly from the company.
  • The use of drugs will not be accepts.
  • When you are at an office please respect all employees and patients privacy and confidentiality regarding medical and dental history.
  • Patient’s medical history or treatment history must not be discussed outside of the office.
  • When you have finished your temping shift at the office make sure to submit it online in order to be paid.
  • If you are a dental hygienist temping in an office there is a standing order for you to print, print a few of them as you will need them to be signed by the dentist. Remember to keep a copy for your records for your portfolio in case you will get audited.
